For me, it would be unchanged, as I don't have one!

I do not watch much television myself, I do like to have one for the news, especially during tornado season. During this last tornado season, we were without electricity for several days, and I missed my ice cubes, and cold beverages more than I did television. I do think for people who live alone, and are somewhat house bound life could get kind of lonely, as I do find I watch more television when I am alone.

As a child, TV wasnt invented yet. We played with friends and listened to the radio. I really dont enjoy much of what's on TV and always on the computer when watching it or I'd be bored.

Carol - why dont you have a TV. It is company when you're alone.

Like you, Unicorn, I didn't grow up with TV.......... so it was like culture shock having one during the years my kids were at home!! Once they were out of the nest it was just such a relief to not have to hear it in the back ground most of my waking hours.
After I retired I thought as you say that it would be company, so I did get one, but only for a year or so and then ended up giving it away.
Now that the 'puter is bothering my eyes so much, I am considering another one..............so we'll see!

There's just so much you can look up on the computer but with TV its so much more varied. I only have it on at night.
