I dont no what evryone elses answer will be but I can answer it in two words Lesa Meece .She has been by my side listened to me cry and complain .She was there when my daughter was fighting cancer and when I lost my sister to cancer .She always had time for me even though she was sick herself and had her own problems ,She is how I define a friend.....

A friend is someone who listens to you no matter what and somehow understands. My friends manage to find a way to make me feel better just by listening even if the problem isn't solved yet.
A friend should always be kind.
A friend should be honest and loyal.
A friend is someone you can let your guard down with.
A friend is someone you enjoy spending time with.
Someone you can confide in, knowing your trust won't be broken.
Someone who has a great sense of humor but can cry with you too.
Someone who believes in you even when you don't believe in yourself.

I have always been told one has many aquaintances and few very true friends and you should should be able to count them on one hand and not use all your fingers. Friends are there in both the good and the bad and won't tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear but they say it with love not malice.
