Don't Give Up

One foot in front of the other
take but one step at a time
throw away the heartache
leave it all behind

Pick up all the pieces
start all over again
believe that you can do it
let not the darkness win

Quitting is to easy
fight back with all you've got
you must be strong,determined
believe within your heart

Roads may be long and narrow
perhaps you'll take a fall
doors will appear to be closing
might hit a solid wall

But never give up, keep trying
soon the sun will shine
believe that you can do it
things will turn around

Darkness will be the victor
forsake you with a laugh
pull you deeper and deeper
if you don't fight back

Stare back at the face of evil
don't let it take control
toss aside life's garbage
prepare a brand new mold

Rewards will be of plenty
when you cross that bridge
embraced by light in darkness
again you'll start to live
