Hugs my friend. Vacation, a pipe dream. Things have quieted down a lot. Brothers are not talking to me. Question that should be asked, Do I care, Nope. Not interested in kindergarten attitudes. hehehe Weather has finally warmed up, My balcony needs a good wash but waiting until it rains so I can wash it without that twit below complaining. She complains if the birds tweet too much. Me, if the person above me needs to wash her balcony, go ahead. that way there are less flies.

For Memorial Day, I am hoping to go down to Houston to visit in-laws and old friends (who served in the Marines with hubby and I). Every summer we make a trip to the beach... I am hoping to visit South Padre Island. I hear it's a beautiful place.

I have been on DS since 2009 (maybe 2008??). And it was really busy back then. Even 2010 there were thousands of posters on here. But then Face Book came into existence and most of them migrated to FB. Then this website changed ownership and they relaunched (updated) I think using a different website, program, or software? Because all the cool features disappeared and the site is extra slow since.
Anyway, I miss all the activity that made this a fun place to be.

I have a week booked off of work at the end of June. Fiance has the same holidays. We will probably spend it mostly in the back yard.

I think I will throw in a hotel stay during either drop off or pick up of my youngest son.

Probably a few day trips, to see a movie, go mini golfing, wander by the river, etc.

Mostly just want to get my yard set up, get a fire pit, and enjoy time out there.

We have a trip planned for June. Going to Palo Duro Canyon in Canyon, TX

We are going to see the play again. It is a very long drive from here in Dickinson,TX. We are very near Houston. With the price of gas I wonder if we should thought more about it.

That’s awesome Carly. I’ve never been to TX. My bestie of 28 years lives in Cypress. She is from McAllen. I’m thinking I should visit her in Oct or sometime next year…

We went to South Padre Island for 4 days. Everyone in Texas raves about how pretty it is. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed. All the beaches in Texas look the same to me: boring. Maybe living in Hawaii spoiled me? Idk

We have been going out of town nearly every weekend since Memorial Day. I am starting to feel burned out.

JBSA is having a July 4th celebration on the lake at Canyon Lake with food, activities, and fireworks. We might go to that event.
