What I found helpful was to start with games meant for children, and work up to greater difficulty as time went on, and by the way, I'm now an addict!
There are many on line at no cost and so much fun. I use to play other word and number games, but so many had the element of chance, where as these are real brain teasers!
And like Yahtzee, solitaire etc they come in hand held mechanical versions! I have at least three of these, but still like pencil & paper, lol.

Every line, every column, and each cube must have the numbers 1-9 in it. You have to figure out which number can be used so that all three of these coincide. It's very addicting!

So far I havent been able to do it. I know what's it supposed to do but havent figured it out yet. At first I thought it was so easy what were people so addicted to, I just gave up but will try again,

Is there an online source for Children's Sudoku? I will try carolmj's suggestion. Not sure it will work as I am totally right brain oriented! My left brain source is always Out To Lunch!
