A group for those of us here who get more from our friendships than from the available discussion groups. A place to be accepted and appreciated for who we are. Somewhere to always feel safe and know that especially on the bad days we are here for each other .A place for encouragement and love.
How much do you think you need to survive all the bills each month (without extra spending). Also, name the state or country in which you live because that makes a difference,
$250 for electricity (lower in summer months)
$350 for food
$30 for phone and another $30 for internet
Transportation costs have to be figured in too.
Not much left for Extra Spending here in South Carolina
$1000 rent
$25 for a parking spot
$200 for phone, internet and cable TV
$50 for electricity
$250 for food
? for gas and repairs for the car
Those are only the basics. Every time you leave the house, it costs money.
Cable TV , phone, and internet total about $200 here too with all the taxes.
- Rent $750.00 Small 1 Bedroom - half of an older house. includes heat & power.
- Phone & Internet about 150.00 (no TV)
- Groceries 400.00 Canadian food always high as so much must be imported.
So total before any frills is: $1300.
No doubt pension and disability incomes are just as variable as these expense figures...........
I wonder how GB and Australia compare with us?
Wish I had a pension - just SS and little income from investments.
My lawyer had me put money I might have invested into an annuity, and I'm glad he did with things as volatile as they are these days!
