You can either take all of the pieces of the mirror and grind them down to dust and scatter it in the wind

Wash broken pieces in a south running river.
Washing the broken pieces of the mirror in a south running river is said to wash away the bad luck.
You can also bury the pieces in the earth.
But you should definitely take it out of the house and not gaze into it
( I suppose covering it would prevent you from staring at it ! )
