in 1963 i was only 8 years old. i watched horrified as water cannons were turned on peaceful protesters and attack dogs unleashed on young women and even children. these images still haunt me and no one in my house at the time could answer my questions about why is this happening to them!

it was the most confusing time for me and i didn't understand so much of what was going on.
I moved to Houston in 61 ,I went to an integrated school for the first time. I got my drivers permit 62,I graduated in 64. I got married in 66. I had first baby in 66 .I had my first car wreck in 68. I lost my dad in 69 , I had another baby 70.
