Friends til the end Community Group
A group for those of us here who get more from our friendships than from the available discussion groups. A place to be accepted and appreciated for who we are. Somewhere to always feel safe and know that especially on the bad days we are here for each other .A place for encouragement and love.

" Falling asleep. Is it easy or hard for you " ?

GOES IN A DIRECT RATIO TO HOW WELL MY PAIN IS CONTROLED ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT! AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT, IT DICTATES BOTH HOW LONG AND HOW SOUNDLY I MAY SLEEP, AS WELL AS HOW OFTEN AND FOR HOW LONG I AM UP DURING THE NIGHT!

Good grief Carol that is my answer exactly. My wonderful Doctor who I soo trust and am loyal to keeps wanting me to spend the night at the hospital and be tested for sleep apnea. I keep rejecting the idea. The only reason I have troubles with my sleep is due to my fibro pain. That is it. I do not want to spend the night anywhere else but right here in my home and in my own bed. I do admit that when I wake up in the morning it is a troublesome thing to have to make so many sleeping places. I start off in my wonderful bed. Then not wanting to bother my Man I go to family room. Turn on tv and hopefully sleep on the futon we have there. When that does not work I end up on the living room couch. If all that fails then I go to the guest room. Then I can quite easily end up back in my own bed again. Oh ya. Count them Way too many beds to make up each morning. I try to fix up the couch first in case someone drops by for coffee. It is just stupid is what.

More often than not I have to force myself to go to bed because I'm unusally wide awake at night. Some times I can manage to get to sleep with relative ease but there are nights where I'm so wound up I have to take a melatonin pill to help me go to sleep or I will still my mp3 player under my pillow (and set the sleep timer so it'll shut off) and listen to a podcast so that I can kind of drift off to the noise...I think that when I was younger I messed myself up by going to bed with the tv on so now that I don't have the tv in my bedroom anymore I sometimes need something similar to help me relax and go to sleep so that often works.
