Yes - but they are not necessarily someone you will marry or mate with. Sometimes your "soul mate" is a parent, sibling, friend, or even a pet. I think we place a lot of heft on the thought that the person we marry or have kids with should be a soul mate but that's not often the case and we wind up feeling let down and frustrated. Same goes for when your single and you're dating around, half the time you ignore or dump quickly someone just because they don't click with you because you don't feel they are the soul mate you insist is out there for you. But they may still make for a great relationship with you, just not one that everything is going to click at once and feel like it was meant to be and all that.
