Absolutely...it has gotten to the point that the only way you can run for political office is by having a boat load of money to begin with and have a lot of deep pocketed sponsors that you will be indebted to once you are elected. The whole political system is corrupt at this point and needs drastic overhaul. What happened to campaign finance reform anyway? Did they stop bothering after they all got re-elected because they realized that if they reformed the process they would lose their advantages to keep their rich behinds in office?
