My third grade teacher;-))

That's funny Chesty, because I was thinking the same thing because in the third grade my cousin & I were in the same class, and I had trouble helping our teacher understand why he was absent for his great grandmothers funeral, but that I was not absent as she & I were not related, lol, dear teacher really couldn't understand how that could be... she went as far as to say it was impossible...... talk about the teacher/student changing seats eh?
BTW, my Mom & his dad were sibling!!

I had two elementary schools because I moved in 2nd grade. The first one I remember for being a really big big building but there were fewer kids in each class so the school went from pre-k to 8th grade. The principal was really nice and you'd get called to his office for good things you did not just bad stuff...I got an award for completing a book program when I was 6 and I remember having to go up to his office and there being a lot of stairs! I also remember passing the older kids in the halls by their lockers. I remember the long walk from the cafeteria to the play area for recess and going to camp there in the summers. I learned to swim and dove off a diving board into the deep end of the pool for the first time ever there. I have some fond memories of camp there - "bug" juice, the watermelon song, the "gold" rush game, learning to make pretzels...
When I moved and went to the new school, I remember being really intimidated by the larger class size and not knowing anyone (I went from being a popular outgoing little kid to an unknown shy one). I had a male teacher for the first time there. I was part of a 3-4 grade combo class for two years and had the same teacher for both who was awesome. And in 5th grade we went on a sleepover field trip to a wilderness camp and I actually climbed a tree and went down the zip line which was both scary and fun since I am afraid of heights. I was lucky because both of my parents were very involved in my class stuff, going on field trips and being part of the PTA and stuff and it was at a time when they encouraged a lot of museum trips and activities like that. I had really great teachers when I was a kid too, in both schools. But I do wonder if I would've been more outgoing and popular had we not moved and I stayed in the other school or if I would've still become more reserved and shy.

I'm from a tiny town(its grown some) but when i grew up there was only one groc store & my school went from K. to 8th grade but i remember moving when i was i think in 3rd or 4th grade to a town over from me & i lived in two different houses & the first one was just built it was very nice & i had wonderful friends i still remember one of them I had good teachers & i remember going to the pool in Gym class & was being taught to swin in the pool well i went to go into the 12' pool with my friends & i went down the ladder & turned around to put my arms on the side of the pool to talk to someone & next thing i remembered my arms sliipped off & i went under & i was so scared i wasn't coming back up.soon after that i remember moving back to my home town but i had great teachers when i was away from my town & i had the same teacher twice when i moved back she was so nice also was my 8th but when i was in 7th grade i remember teacher was out of the room - there was alot of notes being passed around & people picking on me well when the teacher came back in the room he called me out in the hallway & i told him what i saw going on well when he brought out the boy & another girl next thing i knew i was getting a spanking with a huge paddle with holes in it for something i didn't even do.
Now days u get in trouble for doing that. I was so hurt that they would do that to me.sometimes wished i would of stayed at the other school.
