For every two steps I take forward I’m taking one back
It’s not the puzzle pieces, but the hands to put them together I lack
Because everyone needs some support every now and then
But take one look at me, and even the better half of me doesn’t know where to begin
I’ve got some strength in my ethics
But the heart is where the power lies, and I’m feeling that passion kick
And when it leaves me, it leaves me so cold
But as depression feasts on my weary soul, I’ll wait for mania to take hold
Think with your brain, that’s all I’ve ever been told
Because a heart’s worth nothing, unless it’s made of gold
And mine was made with a fire the devil lit with his two hands
But since then, I’ve been a slave to his demands
My love will spread like a wildfire, but I’ll have to put the fire out
Because my mind is telling me, that’s not what living’s about
So to end this war I’ll drive this stake through my own heart
This isn’t where the living ends, but where it will start
