I wonder if part of what's going on the in world today is all of the "support boards". Even when I joined DS back in the day, it seemed like the most extreme positions got the most support. Middle of the road just isn't that much fun to comment on. Facebook seems to thrive on either the most negative or the most bragging.
That is: Come Look! My life is the best it possibly can be!
Or: My ex is the worst thing that can possibly be!
I think I never was all that "popular" on the B&D board because I just couldn't get hooked into either. My ex was neither Jesus, nor then Devil. He was just George (and not THAT B&D George), but the one I married. He was just my ex...with good, bad and a whole lot mixed in the middle. And me too. I'm not all great, nor all horrible, actually I'm remarkable only for being incredibly boring.
IDK, maybe I'm just depressed today.

I do think politically that there are only extremes... far left or far right, no middle remains. There used to be a middle, where did it go? You're right Patti, no one's all bad or good. Maybe social media huh?
