This is a group for all Football Lovers! We will be here to have fun with each other, pick the games and support our teams! We have the right to rag each other too...... all in good fun ofcourse. Gotta love some football!!
I knew this day was coming. No team can withstand so many injuries to key players and keep winning....but I was in denial! I did not want to accept the truth!
Game after game and week after week and even when the odds were against them, they kept winning! Even when they were counted out toward the end of the game, they would always, somehow, someway, as if the football Gods were guiding them, they would always pull one out of their hat!
Every time they won, life was great! I'd be walking on air! Every time they won, the endorphins flooded my brain with pure happiness! I wanted to hug everyone! I didn't want it to end. But good things come to an end. Always! But I did not want to believe that.
Now, I am having to face the cold, hard realization, that my happiness is dependant on my team winning! I am codependant! Oh my! I need help!

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
But Bob.... there is a Co-dependant's meeting near you I am sure. Co-dependent's Anonymous is all over the country.
NE is in the midst of a dynasty in which is more then a decade in the making. Hey I thought Bledsoe should never be replaced. I understand that a single loss must feel like not making the playoffs, but in reality it is still all good. Expect the Patriots to be be taking it to the Super Bowl once again. Carolina will be a test and may depend upon the health of either team.
Ya know... my mood ( and my DS statuses ) used to always be directly related to how the Titans played each week. They still are to a certain degree but now I don't get as livid as I used to because sadly I've come to expect them to lose. ( granted, I will yank those Titans cheerleaders off of my avi pics as fast as I can after we lose the game each week ) . By now, if my happiness was dependent on my Titans winning, I would be locked up somewhere in a room with padded walls all alone with my nerf football. lol
If you ever really feel down and out about your 10-1 Patriots, just think of me and how much worse it could be. :p~
But I am all beter now adrer venting :)
Attester, Yes I needed to look at the bigger picture, the bigger prize, the super bowl. It's just a matter of changing one's perception.
And luv! I thought you would be able to relate and had you on my mind when I wrote it, I'm sure it's much more of a letdown for the players and coaches who felt the refs stole the play with some bogus calls. It is what it is. Just can't take it too seriously, that's all!

I don't even watch football anymore. I've taken up watching synchronized swimming instead. Much more exciting than watching the Titans. Yep.

I do watch all of those. Yep Ruger, I do alot of curling in my spare time as shown in my avi pic. Lol
