Hi Everyone! I made a simple meal today that has a bit of Latin Flare to it. Not only is it simple, quick and tasty it is very easy on your wallet too! I made sausage, peppers and onions along with yellow rice and black beans. I used 1 whole hillshire farms sausage you can use whichever one you like. You can use half a sausage if you want to cook less or for less people. I used some fresh green bell pepper and some freshly chopped onion. I sliced the sausage into pieces and cut the bell pepper and onion up into medium size pieces. I cooked it in a non stick skillet with a little bit of oil, I added a sprinkle of garlic powder, onion powder, adobo seasoning, and cajun seasoning, I cooked it in the skillet over medium heat stirring it occasionally until it was completely cooked and I added a little bit of water to it. I opened a can of black beans and cooked it in a small pot over medium low heat. I cooked the yellow rice in the rice cooker with water and a little bit of oil. The rice cooker I have doesn't burn the rice and switches off when it is finished cooking and stays on warm. It is a pretty simple meal but inexpensive, filling, balanced and full of flavor.

Tomorrow is National Relaxation Day but seeing how we already had a Moment of Zen this week and today happens to be a Friday, how about some relaxation jokes instead?! Namaste... enjoy! Happy Friday!
