I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I'm so scared when at night time, it has happened 3 o 4 times since the first month, I go to the bathroom and I see on the toilet paper that I'm bleeding. The blood is light red, like when you are in the first day of period and I bleed, not a lot, for hours. I went once to the hospital early in the morning and fortunately the doctor didn't find anything wrong, but it happened again twice. I don't have pain but it scare me a lot. Should I go to the maternity hospital for emergency every time? Is it normal? I don't know and my crazy hormones aren't helping to keep me less nervous.
If it just light bleeding it could be your mucus plug coming out. The books usually say that happens at the end of pregnancy but it doesn't always. as long as it is light bleeding you should be fine. if you are still worried, go to the hospital there is nothing wrong with that, thats what they are there for. i had that same thing with my son and he is a healthy 7 month old now :) ( in the picture he is in NICU because when he was born he had breathing problems but that has nothing to do with the bleeding, he was a week late and had swallowed some of the amniotic fluid and it had fecal matter in it, common with past due babies, and got a small infection in his lungs.)
