When my ex left, that first Christmas he sent the children a card with money.  I was happy that he did this, but since then no words, no calls.  He just stopped all contact.  Last night at Divorce Care, I was asked if he saw them or remained in their lives.  Tears began to flow, unexpected tears, since its been so long.  I had to say no.  I told them about how he was loved by them.  He wasn't their blood but he was all they knew. The youngest grandchild had not been born and the others were 3,2,and 1 when we married.  I'd love your opinion as to how he could not at least call them.  He was PawPaw.  Thank you.
