No one seems to understand

I have had many losses throughout the years. I have been blessed in many ways but I don't have siblings,I have a small family and since my dad passed away who was and still is my everything I have become very depressed. I tried therapy and meds but nothing helps. I feel empty inside with very little motivation for anything. My close friends feel I have so much going for me that when I have opened up my sadness, I feel they don't take me seriously and that I should get over it. I pray that someday I might look things in a positive way,but right now there is no joy in my heart. Thanks for listening.

Aliiin, I'm so sorry for your loses and tradgedies throughout the years. I can imagine that especially your dad was so very important to you and his passing has created this void. In a way, that void will always remain...for he was such a special person to you and you loved him so. However, hopefully over time a new friendship will occur to ease some of the pain.

You are so blessed to have such close friends...it's just a shame that they aren't able to relate to your troubles. Possibly they haven't had to experience such tragedies themselves, so they are ignorant of all of the pain the loss of a loved one ca cause?

I pray that your lonliness eases and that someone special enters your life very soon. In the meantime, if you ever need someone to talk to, let me know.

We all go through very hard times when we experience a loss of a loved one. Time has a way of healing things and bringing new people to love into our lives. It is true that other people can not comfort us in our sorrow. I would turn to G-d in your pain and ask for help. You can still talk to your Dad although he is not in our physical world. Cry out and maybe you will feel some relief soon. HUGS!!! You will come through this.

My WHOLE family are not close. We all live else where never talking or getting along enough to get together. I do understand I have no one off line to talk to or even go out and have fun with or call.

Sorry to hear about your situation Aliiin and HoneyHeather. I am close with my husband but aside from him I am alone: no family or close friends. I do have 2-grandchildren that enjoy staying with me because I give them freedom which they do not get from their parents. My parents are gone and my brother never ever wanted a relationship with me. I have some friends but they irritate me more than supply me with any joy. Since this post is old I hope things have improved for you now. Keep in touch and I will check in more frequently.
