(I had to copy-paste this from notes because I couldn’t type on here; sorry if the font is wonky)
Let me start by saying my parents are divorced, and I couldn’t be more proud of how they handled the process with me. They made sure I understood everything that was going on, and I never felt like I was being alienated; I just heard the unbiased truth of the divorce, and I think that’s important for me as their child. That’s changed since then, though.
It had died down up until recently. However, since we had to get documents in for my passport for a field trip, they have been arguing nonstop; I am always sucked into it. Basically, my parents have been disagreeing on how my mother will send in her documents. My dad wants her to send them to him because he thinks it will be more efficient if he can turn everything in at once, but my mom is afraid to send him anything because that would mean he would find her address. Apparently, he has been repeatedly threatening to arrest her fe not paying child support she is too poor to afford, which is why she hasn’t given me or my dad anything that would reveal her location. Since the passport problems began, my parents begun trying to alienate me from the other. My dad basically has been saying I won’t be able to go on my field trip all because of my mom because she’s being unreasonable, a cry baby, etc. When I told him I felt that he was antagonising her to me, he thought I was taking her side and threatened to cancel my trip.
