Family Scapegoats Community Group
This is a Group for discussing Scapegoating. The Scapegoat is often the family member who tells or acts out the truth ("the Truth Teller") regarding the family's dysfunction that no one else is prepared to acknowledge or talk about. It is this truth telling that makes them the target for carrying the blame for all the family's problems. If you are the Scapegoat...
Today is the 100year anniversary of the Anzacs. 9000 strong young Aussie and NZ men lost their lives in this one battle in 1914. We are honouring them and all of our soldiers through all of the wars today.
If we let other people bully us and make our lives miserable, I reckon we are not honouring these beautiful men who fought against strong odds, in an unwinnable battle because they wanted our countries to be free of tyranny and they fought for each other in the best example of mateship I've ever heard of.
We can find all sorts of reasons to stand up. The first should be our own integrity and our sense of right and wrong. It's wrong to allow others to walk all over us. We can show them what is the right thing by refusing to bow down and be hurt, by standing with love compassion and respect.
All bullies have something wrong inside. We who can see that can give them the compassion they need even if they wont accept it.

"It is impossible to have a sound self-concept until I am true to myself and accept full responsibility for my own individual life, my own need fulfillment."
No matter how much we have suffered at the hands of others, not taking responsibility for our own healing, physical / emotional wellbeing and happiness will keep us trapped in the vulnerable and precarious role of victim. This will impact on every aspect of our lives, leaving us victim to our own negative emotions and unable to protect our personal boundaries.
No matter what wrongs we have suffered, it's up to us heal and move beyond our pain.
Hugs
