4:2-6 The branch of the Lord refers to the Messiah. In the middle of Isaiah's warning of judgement, he tells of a coming Messiah, and sees ahead to the Millennial Kindgdom.
Thanks Shadowlady. You have great observations as well. It looks like you are summarizing the theme of each chapter. That's so much easier than what I was doing. My thoughts for chapters 2-4 are in a separate post. I will copy and paste that in the comments here though. Mine is a bit long.
Chapter one verses that stood out :
1. Isaiah had visions concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2. God’s children had rebelled.
9. If God had not spared them, they would have been destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah.
10. God didn’t want their sacrifices.
16. He wanted them to give up their evil ways.
18. God would make their scarlet sins as white as snow.
25. God would remove all of their impurities.
27. Zion will be restored.

1. This was a vision of Isaiah concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2. In the last days the Lord’s house will be the highest of all. People from all over the world will stream there to worship.
4. Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war.
6. The Lord rejected the descendants of Jacob, because they filled the land with practices of the East.
8. The land is filled with idols.
9. Now they will be humbled.
11. Human arrogance will be humbled, only God will be exalted.
21. People will crawl into caves and hid in clefts of rocks. They will try to escape to terror of the Lord.
Chapter 3:
1. The Lord will take away from Jerusalem and Judah everything they depend on.
8. Jerusalem will stumble and Judah will fall, because they refuse to obey God.
9. They have brought destruction on themselves.
10. All will be well for the godly. They will enjoy a rich reward.
Chapter 4:
2. The branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious. The fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of all who survive in Israel.
4. The Lord will wash the filth from Zion.
5. The Lord will provide shade for all who assemble in Zion.
