Today I'd just like to share my feelings about living with epilepsy. I've had epilepsy for over 35 years, and boy has it been an adventure! At the age of 9, which is when I had my first seizure, I was in big - time denial. I hated the fact that I couldn't control my own body at times. I fell into the trap of feeling sorry for myself. In time, I came to accept my condition, and I learned to live with it. But just accepting it wasn't enough. As an adult, I actually found a reason to be GRATEFUL for my epilepsy! Yep. Grateful. You see, at the age of 32 I adopted my one and only son. Holding that baby in my arms, all I could feel was gratitude. I came to realize that if I didn't have epilepsy, I would have never considered adoption, and therefore someone else would have been the mother to my son. Unbelievable ! God does work in mysterious ways! Now, I still continue to have seizures, but I don't let them stop me. Yes, my life is very limited because of them, but my life is also very rewarding and full. And because of my now 14 year old son, there's never a dull moment! God is good!

Still have seizures often - have a lump on my head right now from having one yesterday. But it's okay. I'm fine with it. If there is anyone out there who has epilepsy, or has a child/loved one with epilepsy, please feel free to comment or ask questions. I'll do my best to offer advice or support.

Well, it happened again. Last Sunday(May 14) around 3:00am I had not one but two grand mal seizures back to back. I didn't even realize I had had them until around 10:00 that morning, which is when I awoke.
So, the hemp oil works really well for controlling the daily seizures - the small ones. But I am beginning to see that for me, they kind of build up until they just have to come out. That's what I think happened
