mikki112
So hi I'm Mikki112, and I started this group. I am 28 years old, and I am currently engaged to the man of my dreams. We have a great life together, and over the last two years we've become best friends. I am new to this whole ED thing because in all my past relationships sex was like part of a daily routine. When we first got together I thought that maybe I was in sexual over drive because most guys I've been with would go two/three times in one session. When I got with my Fiancé I noticed that the first time we had sex; although he achieved an orgasm, he wasn't completely erect. I shook this off as just him being nervous. I mean the two of us being new to each other's bodies, we both were nervous and wanting to please one another. As our relationship went on and we moved in together, I began working a third shift job and he was on first. During this time I always wanted to have sex after work, which was for me, my evening at that time, around 7 am to 10 am. My fiancé began complaining saying that he was never "horny" during those hours. I found this response strange because I never really felt like sex had a time frame. Still I complied, and we basically stuck to having sex on the weekends that I was off which equaled out to once a month because by the time the next weekend rolled around I would be on my cycle. There were several times during that year when my fiancé would lose an erection during sex, or would have flaccid ejaculations. We later found out that he suffered from type 2 diabetes. So now this together with the fact that he does not practice proper treatment for the diabetes causes problems with our sex life. I feel like I've tried everything. Dressing up, crazy positions, sex games, porn, dancing, you name it, I've tried it, and still no success. I have begged him several times to see a doctor regularly about his diabetes because I feel like it is a large part of the problem. I don't know if he's done enough research to understand how diabetes affects penis behavior, because he really avoids the topic of talking about sex with me all together. There are times when he can't get it up and we just kind of roll over and go to sleep as if nothing just happened. I know this is not healthy and I want to find ways to approach him so that he understands how frustrated I am with my sex life. I also feel alone because we are relatively young to be tackling impotence issues, and everything I find online is targeted towards older couples/men. So I started this discussion group to find others out there like me. to create a support net for young couples struggling with this issue.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive so far from all types of people, including diabetics
