OK, so I have only been off at college since Saturday and I am already about to lose it! I cannot hardly eat anything that follows my endo diet and I dont have my endo cookbook in yet so Im stuck eating all the wrong things. What makes it worse is all of the walking> I am walking everywhere and it is killing my back where my endo pain is concentrated. I am going to start yoga and pilates at the gym here, but I dont know how much it will help with all the junk I'm having to eat. Does anyone know any good recipes that follow the endo diet and wont take more than 30 mins to make? thanks!
Hi, I never even knew there was such a thing as the Endo diet. My doctor has been pushing Lupron on me since I found out I had Endo. I am in college as well, and I understand exactly what you mean about the walking with your back hurting. I don't know about the diet, but I can tell you that icy/hot makes just heat patches....kind of like a heating pad with out the cord. They have been my life save at college when I could not lay down on my heating pad. Also, just turning in your chair from side to side loosens up your muscles...it seems to help me some, not alot but some. I was diagnosed a year ago the 16th of this month and all my doctor wants me to do is the Lupron shots, do you have any information on this Endo diet, and does it help your pain any?
Hi, I am a college student too with what seems to be a relapse of endo problems :( My first year of school wasn't bad, I was just getting my pelvic floor dysfunction treated, but now my severe pain is returning and I don't know what to do about it with school! The last time it was consistantly this bad was when I was in high school and I had to take a lot of days off from not being able to get out of bed! I'm freaking out! Have you guys found anything to ease the pain and carry on in your studies? I'm so worried for this semester :( What's worse is that I'm applying to transfer within the next month and everything is just going to be crazy! Ugh :(
As for the endo diet, I'm intrigued. My aunt who is not an endo specialist, but is a highly ranked general surgeon who has endo told me that the endo diet isn't actually proven to help endo (it didn't help me anyway), but I'm just curious what you've been doing, because I'm getting really desperate and I'm willing to give anything a shot at this point.
