I am scheduled to have laproscopic surgery to see if endometriosis is the cause of my pain. I am not sure I want to go through with it. My symptoms, inlcude, pain during my menstrual cycle, back pain, pelvic pain between cycles and after. I have experienced pain during bowel movements (not all the time) and occassional rectal spasms.I have ultrasounds, which have shown small cysts. What do you think?

i say go ahead. it helped me a lot (make sure they do some lasering or excision, not just looking). and the recovery was not that bad--not half as bad as when i had my tonsils taken out. your symptoms certianly sound like endometriosis is likely; might make you feel better to know?

Thanks JMitchell. I think you're right. Stay tuned for an update after my procedure on 9/21. I'm glad I found this group. ;-)
