I have a history of ovarian cysts, and 4 years ago I had 3 grapefruit sized cysts removed. This past weekend was the most pain I have experienced in a while. I have been experiencing episodes of sharp stabbing pain on both sides of my pelvis. Sometimes worse on one side and minutes later vise versa. Ibuprofen not helping, nor vicoden or tylenol 3. I hate that drugged up feeling. I feel like there is something growing inside of me and the throbbing sensation is enough to make me want to curl up into a ball and cry. I hide my pain because I do not want to attract attention. I could not go to sleep Saturday night because it was almost unbearable to the point of waking my husband up at 3 am to take me to the hospital. But, instead I played games on my phone until my eyes could no longer stay awake. I think I will lay the blame on this weekends pain episode on constipation. I know it is worth letting my doctor take a look, but I hate to hear the same thing over and over. Last October i was told I needed surgery to clean up all of the scar tissue and to follow up with a fertility specialist because we are TTC. I still have yet to do that because of all the loops we have to jump through for the insurance company.
I know my health is declining as I am not on any bc, I just take pain meds whenever necessary. And now the pain is all too frequent. It is not mid-cycle or ovulation pain because my period is due any day now. I am wondering if it is late and if all the pain I have been going through is the reason i have not started my cycle. I cannot be pregnant, because my husband and I have been trying for years with no luck.
What shall I do?
I am asking you all, because we share the same disease and you know what I am going through. Unlike my husband, who is being supportive as he possibly can, but does not know what it is like to live with this disease.
