I'm going through similar. It was my mom and she wouldn't let me tell anyone about it and she still won't but thank God I don't live with her and I finally don't live with anyone else I live alone, and I'm slowly starting to heal. But I'm left with social anxiety and paranoia and just not trusting people for a long time. I have to be so careful trying to socialize. I'm even left with Asperger's Syndrome which I know is a result of the abuse. I feel bad for her because she was so abused as a child and she just didn't know better, but it really sucks that no one really knows what happened to me and they judge me and think I'm having a hard time in life because I'm not trying hard enough, they don't know the horors and torture I went through.

Was it only your brother doing it to you? It might help you to find out why he was the way he was as a starting point... Because I only first found some relief finding out that my mom was emotionally abused by her parents and her siblings

You don't live with your brother do you? And it might be a possibility that your brother was emotionally abused when he was a child and he can't help it cuz he's not even aware of what he's doing

It would be unusual if there weren't more family members involved than just your brother. He might have abused someone else in the family, or he might have joined with your parent or other sibling to attack you. Often, the most vibrant, sensitive, empathic child becomes the target and the scapegoat of a family of abusers. I speak from experience.
