I was diagnosed late with dyscalculia. I was 21 when I started college and learned about my disorder the same year. It was hard because I had decided to just "tough it out" through my calculus courses for my degree in Genetics, but had already internalized the notion that I was stupid, hopeless, and incapable.
I want to get "rehabilitated" - I want to learn positive learning skills for this subject. I want to learn to dismiss the negative self-talk I engage in. Has anyone here done this or had to do this?
