In December I fell out with my sister, I had a feeling that something was wrong for a couple of months, she had been distant and ignoring a lot of my messages, but I didn't know why?
I finally decided to ask her and a few things were said, She was very unreasonable and the argument escalated and nothing could be resolved. Harsh things were said, I apologised immediately for the hurtful things I said and explained that I had said them in the heat of the moment because I was hurt so didn't hold back things I usually would.
This is the first time we've ever argued, and she's argued and forgiven other people for far worse things and yet she can't seem to forgive me.
I tried to contact her today but I've heard nothing back. Is it really ruined forever?
I rarely argue with people, in fact I never argue with people, so I really don't know how to resolve broken relationships?!
I just can't understand why she seems to have given up completely? I've always tried to be there for her, I've told her many times how much she means to me, and yet she doesn't seem to care?
Any advice?

Since it is a sibling issue you are going through I would like to add my thoughts. I too have an elder sister and she has been mean to me behind my back many times to the point that my relationships have been spoilt with other near and dear one's. I have been through worse times in my life but have been able to forget them but since the time I got to know about the two faced nature of my own elder sister spoiling my name in front of others I have been extremely pissed at her even though i tell myself forgiving is the best way out. However, i havent been able to do that since I feel how can one's own blood say or do such things to me? But sibling rivalry or jealousy is a fact and it happens in many households including mine. I can't seem to forgive her for creating an image of me that is so untrue. Maybe your sister is also very hurt about the words that slipped out in the heat of the moment. Give her time and just show through your actions that you still care. Maybe she will realize one day. Take care
