Many times, at least I, wonder if I am living my life according to God's will...or if I am leading my life based on my own personal will...and possibly ignoring His. How do you go about assessing your life's actions in knowing if you are following His will for your life...or ignoring His will and leading your life based on your own will?

First its all layed out for us in the ten commandments.Second read the new testiment and do as jesus said.We cant detour if he live as he says we should.Jesus puts it very simply and his directions are easy to understand.
Our own will is never from god we were created with a self will.Because the father needs our love willingly not forceable.

Tough question. we all know that we live under free will. So I think doing God's will depends on each persons relationship with God. Just how close a person is how he walks in Godly ways. Since he does not speak with us personaly only through the Holy Spirt it is hard to know. I often wish for a sign anything that would tell me if I am doing right or wrong, That God had a big plan for me to great things to help others. The one thing I try to rember when I petition God is that sometimes he says no not right now. Is there something in particular that you wish to do at this time. I have wanted just to ramble the country side and talk to people or to go to another country to help. Based on the events in my life I am where I am suppose to be for now.
