I have been living with a chronic condition ( Primary Lympedema) . It first appeared when i was 16 , now i am 32.
What is primary Lymphedema?
Primary lymphedema is a type of lymphedema that is hereditary or congenital in nature. This means that the lymphatic dysfunction has been inherited or is due to a congenital malformation or developmental condition. Lymphedema is a disease that is characterized by the retention or accumulation of lymph in the tissues and interstitial spaces due to the blockage or obstruction of the lymphatic system.
I am finding it hard to make peace with living this condition. 1, There is no cure for it and it is costly to mantain it because medical attention costs are too high. 2, It is progressive.
I am a lady aged 32 and I feel so lonely and sad. I dont feel like I am good enough because my legs and feet arebig. I cannot even wear short skirts and beautiful shoes. It has also been very difficult to date, because of my condition. At the age of 32 , I dont have no partner and no kids. The other bad side of this condition is falling problem will be a problem as the swelling will increase. I am so depressed right now. How do I learn to live with this condition the emotional pain is enormous.
Anyone with a chronic condition ? How do you deal with it?

Living with a chronic Illness is very hard. My heart goes out to you(((Hugs)))
I am so sorry you are alone.. but True Love is unconditional and when the
time is right, you will find someone who love You, the way you are. It is the inside
(our Heart) what counts and we are All beautiful, special and unique.
I am living with chronic Pain, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. Sometimes
the pain is so bad that I am unable to walk or do anything but to lay down and try
to get some rest... sometimes I have to use a 'walker' to move around.
I am married and my husband helps me as much as he can, but he is working at night...
My children are Adults and they live their own lives...Faith, lots of prayers and my friends
here on DS keep me going every day,no matter how hard it is.
I always believe'd in God and I always will. Without God I would not be here..I been
diagnosed with severe Depression about 8-9 yrs ago and I almost lost my life ! I ended
up in the ICU and I was over 6 weeks in the hospitals. I was given 10 ECT treatments
which changed my life...I had to relearn everything all over again from speaking, eating ,
dressing myself, reading, learn the computer all over again, walking....It was a very hard
and very difficult time.I was in a wheel chair for almost 1 year.With the help and mercy
of God, my family,doctors, therapist, friends, tons of prayers, medication and my unwavering
faith I made it! I am still in therapy today and on several medication. I have a very difficult time walking...but. I keep going.
Never ,ever give up! It is not always easy....but keep going.We are all here for you, Annery.

As I've said, chronic pain ( and other Illnesses or Disabilities) are very
hard ...Together we are strong! Supporting each other and praying
for one another is the greatest gift we can give each other! :-)
Together we are moving forward, One Step At a Time and One Day
at a Time.We can do it! I Believe! :-) I am always here ! :-)
