I am out of my mind today. illness and medications and relationships and no coping techniques except a sense of gallows humor which is failling me except when i think of drowning myself in the toilet. . . . .

Help. Tell me why I shouldn't give up? Because I will miss the presidential election? Because I will miss hay fever season? And all the mosquitos that are ready to invade my house?

If I gave up I'd miss ice cream. Comfort food. There's a thought. However, I'm taking prednisone temporarily so I will probably eat up 4 weeks' worth of groceries in 4 days. Yuch.

Yikes. Please tell me other goofy things I'd miss if I gave up. Thank you from the bottom of my satirical self.

Prednisone is a horrible medication and will make you feel this way. It did to my mother and much more than was said in the side effects column of her med description. Are you on a prednisone count down, I mean, ex amount today, less tomorrow, less the next day. Or are you just on prednisone at this dosage? There are other medications that don't make you so crazy that you will kill yourself or tear your skin off. Please ask your doctor to get you off of this and try something else. I agree. I have been on high doses of Prednisone and it does some strange things to your body and your reasoning. Everything is out of sorts. Call your doctor and see if there is an alternative. Sometimes it is necessary but maybe the dosage could be adjusted. This med can really play with your mind and your mood. See if you can talk to your doctor soon and get some relief. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers! Hugsxxxx

I am so sorry! My heart goes out to you.. Please be very ,very careful taking Prednisone.
It is a very dangerous drug... I lost my left Hip because of this Drug.. I needed a Total Hip
Replacement because of too high dosage of Prednisone ...
You are in my thoughts and prayers!

I'm glad you are getting off of Prednisone but don't stop all at once. You must wean down the dosage or you will also have some crazy side effects. Hugsxxxx

I was the most horrible, meanest witch when I was on Prednisone. I agree with oceangypsy, that you need to wean yourself from this drug! I thought my children and their spouses and their children would never speak to me again! Thank God that is in the past and they have forgiven me! Hope this message finds you feeling better with each day!

You would miss sunrises and sunsets, and rainbows! Most of all we would miss you!
