I am new to DS, and I joined this group because of it's name... I really like the message, because I'll tell you honestly, that's exactly how I feel!
I am so ready to throw in the towel at times, and it just seems like I can never catch a break. I was just in the hospital for an entire week, because I had an extensive case of a Pulmonary Embolism that was also accompanied by an additional DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). All of which was caused as a result from being on Birth Control. and the whole reason I was on the BC to begin with, was to stop me from Bleeding out to the point of going to the ER and having to have Blood Transfusions.

Now they are having me take Warfarin, and taking me off the Birth Control, which means I could very well end up having another Bleeding episode. The Doctor told me if that happens, I will most likely have to have an emergency Hysterectomy. This terrifies me, because either situation means it's possible that I could bleed to death!

So I am looking for some encouragement... Please help me to not think the worst, and to try and be positive. My Anxiety is in overdrive, and I am afraid. Any messages or kind words would be greatly appreciated right now, Thank you <3

Hi ej welcome, I am so sorry for all you are going through. I too am on warfin and have been for years due to three blood clots in my lungs. I can appreciate your fear of bleeding excessively due to being off of your birth control. While an emergency hysterectomy can be terrifying please take comfort in knowing that they can give you a vitamin K shot which will prevent &quot;bleeding out&quot; and they can proceed with the surgery. I had an instance where my INR levels had unbeknownst to me gotten really high. I had a small sore open up and blood was literally gushing from this tiny sore. My dr gave me two vitamin k tablets and within an hour the bleeding stopped. Have you tried doing some meditation or guided imagery to relax? You tube has some wonderful videos just type in either one of those and lots will come up. Sending up prayers of comfort and healing. Remember your not alone.

Thank you Lisa, I will look into the techniques. As well as talk to my doctor about my fears and anxiety...In the meantime I have been doing some deep breathing exercises and trying to do activities that take my mind off of things. I go back to see my doctor on Friday, and am getting more blood work done to check my HGC levels. So far I think everything is going okay.

I am so sorry you are going through such hard time.My heart
goes out to you(((Hugs))) I had a Blood clot several years ago
and the doctors put me on Warfin for several months.At the
same time I&#039;ve been diagnosed with &#039;Borderling Hemophilia &#039;....
It was a very scary time...lots of prayers,hope and faith and
my family kept me going.
Music can be helping! Have you tried it? Give it a try. It will
help you to take your mind of your anxiety.

Thank you Maria, my anxiety is doing much better for now... just my immune system is acting low or something now, because I have developed a terrible head cold. Sneezing, watery eyes, stuffed up on one side, somewhat sore/scratchy throat, and just an overall feeling of yuckiness :/

I&#039;d love to just stay in bed today and rest, but I have to go do my next blood test... I really don&#039;t like needles :/

Anyways, I think some hot tea today is in order, and maybe chicken soup.
