hi I'm new to this group. I'm having a hard time admitting I was in a abusive marriage. I literally left him 3 weeks ago. Everything is still raw and fresh. He was controlling and verbally abusive. He is still contacting me on a daily basis. Begging me to come back or stay friends. Just unsure...

I'm sorry that you are in the same situation but it does feel good to have someone that understands. It just hurts so much!
I have been so secluded in life that my husband was all I know. Left mommy and daddy's and got married at 19 to live with husband.

I reached out to a friend and she helped me so much! She helped me get my stuff safely out of the house and she offered me a place to stay until I get on my feet! I finally feel free. Although He keeps calling me so I blocked him on my cell phone. Now he's calling me at work. It terrified he's going to reel me back in. Will I ever really be free?

We have no children as well so that was a relief. Although I had to leave my fur babies behind. I cry every night for them. They slept with me every night. I miss them. I feel like I've had to sacrifice so much in the relationship and now that we are separated I've had to sacrifice! It's not fair!
