My curly-coated retriever is 10 years old. He is not neutered because he was a show dog. However, I never bred him. He will remain a virgin.
Because he now has testicular cancer. I'm posting this so that you will know the symptoms. It is very slow-growing, and neutering usually cures the problem. If your beloved has to have cancer, at least this one is easily curable if caught.
I noticed that his testicles were 2 different sizes. Quite different sizes. Also, his breasts are getting a bit larger. These are the noticeable symptoms.
My vet says NOT to worry about the cancer spreading in his case. So I am VERY VERY RELIEVED. I love that dog more than anything in this universe. I bred him. He's my baby, and I lost his mom 3 years ago.
We have to wait for the operation because he has an infection that needs to be cleared up first. But in about 3 weeks, he will be minus his testicles and minus illness, so my prayers were answered.
I'm sending my prayers to you and your pup for Blessings of Healing and Well-Being. Bless your hearts.
Brightest Blessings, 'An it harm none, Blessed Be
