Hello-I am new to this group. I have a wonderful, nutty pup-Maia. She is a black lab mix-but mostly lab. She is 2 1/2 years old. She is a good girl, and realy keeps me company. I live alone now since my son moved to Spain, and my daughter goes to school in Washington, DC. If Maia wasn't here, I'd be talking to the walls instead of her, and people would think I was nuts. I also have breast cancer (in remission), lupus, and fibromyalgia, so now that she is old enough to have calmed down a bit, I want to teach her to help me like picking up things and bringing them to me. We'll see. I was really glad to see we had this group, because my pup is a very important part of my life. God Bless all of you. Kathy7
Welcome Kathy, Dogs are part of the family and an important part of our lives. This group is a wonderful group to be associated with. Any questions or concerns, just post it and we will try to give you an answer. Great support group.
i have a lab that is great at retrieving things, but chances are were going to have to chase him and take it away from him because he wants to play. i would look for a training group they usually have specialty classes that are pretty affordable that will make it alot easier on you because there is pro help involved. petsmart and petco are pretty affordable and they set up there classes so that its not to much at once. good luck!
Aww,I so happy you have a nice dog to keep you company!I also suffer from FM,ddd and arthritis. My pets really help me with love, keeping me moving when I don't want to and they help so much with depression! Thanks for sharing!Hugs to you!
