Do One Clean Thing Today! Community Group
Housework can overwhelm us. Sometimes we may not even know where to begin. I am starting this group to help myself and others "clean house". Let's clean-up together! Each day I will post one thing to do: unload the dishwasher, scrub the toilet, sweep the floor... you get the idea. We'll all do that one thing together and talk about it. What products do you use?...
So the fridge just sits there in wait. All hulking and occasionally speaking a language that no other appliance can understand. My fridge hums and sings. My fridge is an old man. And even old men have to take a bath once in awhile. Old man fridge is a perfect environment for listeria bacteria and other not-so-lovelies to breed and thrive. No one wants to get sick.
So today we're going to pull everything out of the old man, discard what doesn't resemble edible stuff anymore, give the insides a good solid scrubbing, and set the world to rights again.
And the old man can get back to humming his hums and singing his songs.
And our families will have one less thing to worry about.
I use a vinegar/water solution for this job (3 parts water to one part vinegar) and old but clean cotton rags. If I'm feeling particularly ambitious, I put the vinegar water solution in a spray bottle, but most times I just put it in a bowl and dunk the rag in it. Sometimes putting things in a spray bottle feels like too much work. Yes, that is how lazy I am sometimes. :)

Because I never do. But I have sometimes wondered, are you supposed to?
I'm gonna make the water/vinegar solution too since we have a whole gallon of white vinegar to use up. I'm with you on the spray bottle thing. Pouring stuff into them is too much work sometimes! :P
We also have ants right now, and so I find ants in the sealing stuff that goes around the door.
Cleaning the fridge yesterday had an unexpected benefit: I found a chocolate bar I didn't know we had! :) Did you guys find anything interesting? :)
