It is a devastating chaotic event that shakes even the most sound and positive person and makes them crazy lunatics... Why do I still care

so I have been divorced for 9 months but separated for three years.  I still have strong feelings for my ex husband but it was evident today that he has moved on because he sent me a text message that was not meant for me.  I’m torn up.   I wish it were easy to move on.

I see that this is an older post. Not many on this group it appears. How are you doing now after a couple of weeks have passed? I'm approaching a separation and I'm scared about how long it will take me to move on. This separation and divorce are being driven by my wife, so I'm feeling helpless to really do much except brace for a long recovery.

I'm guessing you still care because you loved your husband and those feelings will almost always be there on some level. My mother still has feelings for my father after 8 years of divorce and multiple affairs by him. Love is such a strong and complicated emotion.

I hope that things became easier for you after seeing your husband's text and that it helped you move on, but I wonder if that's actually true. Do you continue to have strong feelings for him? I'd enjoy hearing more about your story and how moving on is going.
