I can certainly understand your mixed feelings about this (happy/sad) but it is a step in the right direction -- that being, you are accepting what is and taking control of what needs to happen.

Hang in there, my friend. This is a roller-coaster ride and just when you think your stomach won't flip again -- oops! There's another steep drop right in front of you.

Please know that we're all here to help calm you as this ride continues. I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers.

Cubbies, There will probably never be another time in your life where you will experience so many conflicting emotions. This is so normal! My best advice to you from this point on is do EXACTLY what your attorney advises you to do! The x's can really try to play on your niceness and conflicting emotions. Listen to your attorney and take care of you!

We filed together online in the end, because it was cheaper and we'd already sorted out the settlement. It was still happy/sad - the end of so many years, so many dreams, and the beginning of a new and little bit uncertain freedom ahead.

My sympathies. I am glad your feelings are mixed instead of just negative as mine were. I did not want the divorce at all, but.....he certainly left me n choice.
