My ex is no longer with me. He broke up with the ex years ago and she had somebody else and he met me and married me and lasted 22 yrs. Then he left me and went back to her quick. I know his head is not on straight and he was a pastor. He did the same with his churches. He pastored a church for two yrs in bklyn and when he got tired of it he transferred to another in Mt. Vernon and pastored there for 12 yrs and then when he found another church that pays better and was bigger etc he finally came home one day and said i am tired of this church too and i was planning to leave them anyway and went to pastor another church in Manhattan new york for 2 yrs before he committed adultery with the ex in florida and just left everything to run to her. What a nut case right? sounds like a pattern???????

Seriously... do not keep going back 22 years or more and calling yourself a rebound. I had a hard time following your post.. but you were married to him for 22 years, you are not a rebound! You divorced and he went back to his first wife is what I got out of this. DO not devalue yourself and the marriage of all those years! This is not history, and I also got out of this that he did not have a relationship and/or supported his children that were 9 and 10. He with an ex wife, how smart is that,,! How smart is she to take up with someone who has not supported his children.. or is that wrong, that is what I got out of this post.

I am trying to say it is futile to look back to dating times... he left her, you got dumped, she got dumped. You are going to be fine, look forward and try and not devalue your own self worth. You are valuable and you are going to be fine. HUG

Since, the person is offically divorced from you ....screw him! And it sounds like the guy stills needs a Lobotomy since he went back to an old flame from 22 years ago. Maybe the old flame needs one too!

Thanks guys. I guess even after 2 years of being separated and now divorced from him i try to figure out what the hell went on here? I guess i couldnt be that bad if he lasted 22 yrs with me unless.......... Well he is not worth it. And if he dared do it to me he will do it again when he needs another escape. Yes i too believe he was going thru some midlife crisis. He was already pop belly and had lost some hair and had alot of gray and felt he wasnt going anywhere in life. Then here she comes cute and petite and young looking; i guess younger looking than me and suaved him with words he just needed to hear at the time of his crisis and he fell for it. She had a home a job she had it all according to his eyes; all he had to do was leave it all and take his clothes and laptop and move in and he did just that. I could imagine the lies they said to each other. How he probably made me look like the horrible wife he needed to get away from and how she would say how much she still loved him and never got over him blah blah blah. It makes me sick. The grass seemed so much greener in Florida so he took off.

Well I hope she like washing his dirty socks and underwear there on fantasy island. When she is inundated with taking care of him instead of spending all that time maintaining her youthful appearance it won't be all that wonderful anymore.....he may even come crawling back to you. Then you can tell him to take a hike

LOL Misred; Did i laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is cute and petite but i wondered if shes all that and a bag of chips how come she couldnt keep a man by her side. At least I kept him for 22 yrs. When she had him before me they lasted only 5 yrs and now after 22 yrs they are back together. I know she had other relationships within those years. She has four kids. Two from him and two from another. However for a woman who has a home and a car and is cute and petite and also is director of a clinic in Boynton Beach FL but no man by her side nor none of her relationships lasted or worked out.......... leaves room for question. But i guess my ex will find that out in due time wont he?

Well I certainly won't suggest that a woman needs a man or a man needs a woman to be considered a success in life, but there is a possibility that there may be issues.

Rbsingle, I spent years on the "why" and "what happened". It's natural - part of the process of moving on. It slows down, especially when you realise that you'll never really know, even if you hit on the correct answer, there's no one to tell you it's the right one! Eventually, it just doesn't matter any more and you know you've accepted that it happened and it's all over, and you've moved on. Yay:)

I also thought MIsred's comment #12 was a great laugh. Ahh, that feeling of the circle completing it's slow arc......
