Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

It has been a very long time since I have been here. I kind of hit a point where I needed a break; reading posts made me feel very raw so I needed to back away.
I am doing pretty well. Things in my life are happy. My oldest daughter is expecting her first child (my 4th grandchild), and one of my other daughters is getting married in the Spring. So lots to keep me busy and focused on.
I will have to have some contact with the ex due to the wedding, and he is dating (living with PT) a new woman....I think this is #6 is 2-1/2 years. I don't know if they will make it to the Spring, but if they do, she might be at the wedding. Don't love it, but I will survive and be the better person. I can do it.
I have found a new church and love it. This has been a huge blessing for me.
I have tried dating a little. I am just starting to see a new guy that I like well enough for a second date. I don't know if it will go anywhere, but it is fun for now.
For all the newbies, it gets better, it gets hard, you go up and you come down. I know that I will eventually get up there and stay up there but until then, I am human, I have bad moments, but they don't stay there NEARLY as long as they used to.
Hope all are doing well

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

Cantstay...you are doing really well. Those ups and downs will become few and far between. There may even come a time where his actions will no longer cause you worry..in fact...you may even get to the point where you can honestly say...it sucks to be him...Big Hugs...Kathy
It DOES suck to be him because he still hasn't figured out why he isn't just happy. He admitted to the girls that he moves women in/dates only because he hates being alone. ME? I love my alone time most of the time. I get out JUST enough to keep me from going completely insane.
Life does get better, more calm than storm, and when you live in those moments they are simply amazing!
