Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Okay, so the end of the year is ending with a bang just like it started last January.
No power for 2 full days. This condo is friggin COLD !!!!!
But..... the stbx came through on 2 accounts.
1) We have an old beat up Suburban (The Beast) that has been out of commission for close to a year - parked in the back 40 of a friends property. My stbx spent the last few days working on it and got it up and running for me to use. I now at least have a vehicle. A piece of sh*t vehicle, but I'm thankful none-the-less.
2) And, he and a friend just brought over a generator so we could have some heat and lights (and my computer). Yeah!!!!
Life is good - well, it's not as cold anyway. :)

I had a tree down laying across the driveway yesterday morning.. that is the 3rd dead elm since the ex moved out.. they have been dead for a while and all three have laid right down in front of the house or on the driveway. That ass I was married to didn't do anything about the dead trees, and now I have to deal with it. Chainsaw I will not do, nor would I have the strength, I am 5'2, probably 5'1.. No way could I afford tree removal. I went and asked a neighbor, and he came over and cut it in 5 foot lengths.. Not to go "Oprah" on ya all, but I am grateful, I could not get out of garage, grateful for Ken, grateful it did not fall on me, the house, the dog, or my car, which I keep in the garage. Saturday it was 50, and I had tiny waterfalls coming down the fireplace as the 17 inches of snow on my roof melted..
I can tell you one thing, since the divorce I handle this stuff with much calm. Divorce can do that too, you deal with so much this stuff is nothing, just another problem! HUGs
