I to am thankful for everyone. I'm thankful for the support, advice, encouragement - and ability to home back in here sometimes after an absence to find community, spirit, encouragement and a swift kick in the pants. I'm fortunate . It helps me move forward - that I can share and every once in a while it may be helpful to someone else.

I rented a cabin in the state forest months ago for the holiday as the kids and I thought we'd be here by ourselves and the media images, traditions of the past with ex... , of holidays in our past bring these memories - expectations... There's heat in the cabin (thank goodness! --brrrrrrr predicted) no wireless or TV. Actually, in some round about way they've got this subdued excitement (maybe that "badge of honor" type survival thing) about this. So, here's a step into the unknown. Packing up the Thanksgiving cabin dinner (not quite sure what I'm going to do yet with that turkey), games, books, and driving off to the wilderness for a few days. I'm thankful that you let me share that. It's this kind of feeling that maybe we're creating that something new or different that let's us move forward and let go or accept that the past is our memories but doesn't have to direct our today and future. When my 17 and 19 year old actually get in the car tomorrow - well ......I'll believe it! And if we come back without any major medical emergencies or other emotional fallout - hmmm....

I agree....I could not of gotten this far along if it were not for the kindness of strangers. I try my best to be a hand up to the broken who come looking for help. Just knowing you are not the only one in the world to go through this...that there is an end to the torment...that there will be a tomorrow....and that you can love and be loved again makes all the difference in the world.

I am so glad I found this group on DS. I'm among my peers who understand what I am still going thru. It helps to have a place to write out my thoughts. To be able to go back and see how far I have come. Everyone I have met on here has been so helpful and nice. I like trying to give back in some small way with a kind word or a suggestion.

It truly has been wonderful to find a place where others understand what you're going through! Thankyou all for your encouragement and support! This Thanksgiving we are headed to Atlanta to celebrate with my three daughters and my husbands son. All in one house at the same time, with cheerful and accepting hearts! AMAZING!! I was wondering if we would ever get to this place. God is good! It just proves that step by step, little by little things can change, and they will change for the better. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, and if for some reason this year is a rough one, please remember that we are all here for you, and that in time, with faith, things really are going to get better! My thanks to all. The friends that I have made here are a true blessing. I have been helped and guided in a better direction, and when I got lost you all guided me again.
This Thanksgiving is going to be small, just my two sons, one of their friends and myself. My daughter and son-in-law will come here around 7pm and we'll all have dessert together. It will be different but I will be thankful that the house will be filled with love and peace.

I amd so thankful to all of you the support the encouragement, all the legal and personal information that you give me. I dont know how I got here at all. I feel I was lead here by god, by angel I really dont know. I just taht I was a total basket case who was so hurting so bad so broken that at the only answer was to just kill myself foolishg think but that was my mind set at the time. Somehow I ended up here and i am more of a private person not one to go on about my problems to anyone but something made me type on this board. All of a sudden here came my healing angel Kathi. She didnt have to but she reached out to me by e-mail out of the blue. Never saw her on here never talk to her before on here. I cried when i read her e-amil to me that she came to rescue me and to let me know im ok nothing is wrong with me. Comforting me giving me courage all teh thing i had lost I had lost in myself of who I was. Her strength helpped me to find that strength I had lost in me I saw in her . I know she doesnt ever realize it but she was my saving grace. Thank you kathi for reaching out to me no words can express the graditude in my heart for your kind act of love and concern. You are a true humanitarian. For the rest of you thanks you for your words of wisdom kind words helpful jesters and sharing your lives with me for excepting and being me into the fold with the warmth of you word to let me know I am not alone. I am doing better but a long way to go but aleast i am stable in my thoughts. Thanks to your kindness and help all of you. So what I am most thankful for this thanksgiving is for all of you. You embraced me, guided me, back to my authenic self for that I am ever in your debt. Hopefully I can pay it forward an i can say something that makes differance to someone who is as lost and hurting as I. Still got far to go first hearing is jan 7th and the ass got him a female atty hahahah He knows how to manipulate women a man se right thu him Oh we shall see let justice prevail !!!
