Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Been a while again since I have checked it but all is well.
Little guy just started walking (at 14 months--mine were 9 months but things change) and he keeps his Nona hopping.
Not complaining though. I truly adore that bundle of joy I call my grandson. Wouldn't want it any other way.
The exass has (make that HAD) been paying regularly, every week. This week nothing. But I am fine. I am calm. I will see if 2 checks come next week. His employer has done that in the past. All bills are paid and I don't have need to worry ---yet. lol He knows I will visit the court again if the late payments start. Oh and no new sightings at work or near my home for last 3-4 weeks which is good thing.
So hoping all of my friends on here on doing as well as me. This journey with all of you has really helped me to cope during the hard times, wiped my tears during the breakdowns, given me knowledge to use during the court times, and made me realize that, yes things do get better. My grands are my life at the moment, so I totally understand. As Jenny says, there's a certain lack of total responsibility that allows us to relax and enjoy them.
All kids grow at their own rate. My first walked at 9 months and my second at 13 months, the third at 11months. In the end, I was glad to have that extra time when I had a fair idea where they were!! LOL

Wonderful that you are enjoying your grandbaby - the circle of life is a wondrous thing!
I have a friend whose grands call her "Nana Chris" because her actual name is Christine so just suggesting that a version using your own name but making it "special" still to denote your grandparent role might work!
Maybe you can't chance the name ,but ..... I CAN !!!! HA-HA.

I'm finally getting closer to my two Grandchildren again after the divorce. (Long "same old" story ) LOL.
My Grandchildren girl 10 and boy 7 years old, have 3 Grandfathers use to be 4 . They call me Grandpa Bob. . Yes, It was and still is (For me) a long recovering journey from the divorce. I thank the many people ............friends here that helped me get through some very difficult times. AND.... they're still putting up with me at times ..... LOL LOL .
