Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
After my divorce, I too wanted to dance again....the last time I had danced waas in grade school..loved it then but as the teenage years hit it weren't cool...so after 31 years and a lot of controling issues. I have divorced and am taking Jitterbug lessons...what a blast....like you I had rather slow dance but hey I will try any style dancing once...But I do understand how you feel.....onne great thing here is that we are here for each other better than the muketeers "All for one, and One for all"
We are here to help and support and nurture you when we can. Big hugs.
Your situation with your husband and daughter is only temporary. Divorce is permanent. She will always be a part of your life, but not necessarily always a part of your household. Can you and your husband reconnect if your daughter is not around? Please ask yourself these questions before you take the final step.
As Nan said, either path you take will not be easy, but one of them may be worth it....just be sure you are taking the right path.
Hugs to you. I wish you luck along your journey.
