I just posted this as a new Journal entry but don't know if you all read them! Here is the same information as I put in the Journal. Needless to say, my presence here may be less than usual for awhile:

It's almost 2:00 a.m. Friday mornng.
I just got back from Hagerstown.
Tom was hit on his motorcycle on the way home from Frederick airport this evening about 8:45 p..m.
He never lost consiensous (sp -- it's late and I can't think or type) but they took him by ambluance to Hagerstown Trauma Center. His friend Bob Calo drove me because I don't see well enogh to drive at night. Tom's boss and our good friend, Austin, met us at the hospital as he lives in Hagerstown..

All the xrays and cat scans say his neck and spine are ok. His right foot, though, is really a broken up mess. The trauma doctor was making arrangemtns to have him transferred to Union Memorial Hospital as soon as possible for surgery to repair it. It can be fixed, but we're talking hardware, screws, pins, etc. and Union Memorial is the BEST PLACE for that kind of thing.

On the attending doctor's advice, we all left at midnight to come home because they said it could be morning until all the arrangements are made and the transfer takes place.

Please know that Tom is in NO DANGER, is stable, talking, coherent (well, as much as Tom can be considering who we're talking about) and told me to go home and sleep.

Looks like our 4th of July plans are going to change.
I will do my best to keep in touch.
