Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

Im with your aunt, this hallway im in is quite a bitch!
It does seem in the begining that maybe others can say that, but it will never be me. But it can be you. It is nice to hear from old friends that have gone on..and are doing well! BIG HUG Lauren!
I use the metaphor that life is a highway.. you drive the car for the most part looking forward, and not so much looking in the rear view mirror. You take detours, you hit the shoulder once in a while and almost go off the road, you might have a tiny crash. You get a bit lost and find your way again. You might pick up new passengers, and maybe leave a few friends behind..you have a few new pieces of luggage in the trunk and got rid of a few old suitcases. In the end you keep going forward with hope and forward to a new destination, and when you check the makeup mirror, there is you, a happy wonderful you, heading into the world, living the best life ever.. forward!
I’m in the hallway and toward the end. I just have to close that door behind me. I now like my freedom.
I like to go where I want and when I want. I still have the house (And may continue too, being what state the economy is in) I took down all the pictures that she bought over the years….. The ones she liked and never asked me about. I’m now looking for pictures that I like… Many things like that in general . So, while I cried for a long time….. While I did love my wife in my own special way.. While I do miss her at times… I am doing things that I like now…. I don’t think that I want to go back to the way it was ..now. YES !… There’s a big difference in a year. I my case almost two years. (Everyone ones
” Hallway” is different.
So, today I “too” would like to say to all the new people here… First of all, I’m sorry that you have to be here in the first place,,, “ God be with you ! “ , but you are at the best place possible and amongst many friends that care and mostly understand your hurt…… your pain. God Bless all of you God give you the strength to endure ………….. The Hallway “Have you.
The best Sunday possible to everyone ….
BTW. We all didn’t expect our lives to change the way that they have.
(God has a plan !)

I believe that it's the unknown that makes these hallways so scary.
That's why this group is so important.
There are people here who have gone down similar hallways.
They can help us navigate our hallways.
((hugs))
