Yes, you are so right. Tell her to get her own stuff. And it is her lose your gain. married for 23 years but it was a marriage that never was. It was his mother interference and his sweet sister that ruined our marriage. He took me off all of his life insurances and if he would have died before this I would not even have had the money to pay for his funeral. I would have been left with nothing. He never once discussed anything with me. He always talked to his mother and sister. I was just a maid, bottle washer and ass wipe for him. Well, now it is in the final stage of the separation. And I will stay put until I say so. I was not the one to ruin this marriage. I give him 70% of the fault, his sweet mother and sister 20% and me 10% because I did not wake up fast enough.

i told him to get his stuff for his new condo and he took little. he already had a storage unit that he had been putting things in. the best thing i did was get everything out of the bedroom and other visable places and put it in the garage right away. his stuff kept me thinking he was a presence here. hopefully with her stuff gone, you will see your presence only and you might want to change things just for your taste. its easier to dump things in boxes or garbage bags then place it neatly. if not she can get her sorry butt over and do it herself..

I think, though, that it's easier to pack the stuff up for her rather than have her in the house. My stbx's stuff is still in my house. As he is out of the country, I am going to ask him to make arrangements to rent a storage unit, and then I will fill it up!

I will pack relatively neatly. I try to be the bigger person I just don't want his crap around any more. I'd be happy to throw it all out, too. Whatever his highness wants.

But if you don't mind her in the house, then make her do it. Why should you?

It's a really hard thing to do but it will help you to move on. I found that it helped me. My ex came and got the last of his things on Saturday. It was as tough this time. Although he wanted my scrapbooks that I made for the kids and that upset me. The weekend my ex moved out it felt like a death in the family to me and the kids. I should have mad him pack his own stuff but it was easier just to do it myself. Hang in there it will get better!
