Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
How many of you work in a cubicle environment? I do and there are just some things that are VERY annoying… can you add to this list?
The co-worker who drums their fingers on the desk AND taps/pounds their feet on the floor (and there is carpet) ALL DAY LONG
The co-worker who is a drummer in a band and practices regularly using the desk as a drum
The co-worker who WANTS to be a drummer in a band and practices regularly using the desk as a drum
The co-worker who uses their speaker phone – can you say “REQUEST A HEADSET”???
The co-worker who heats and eats the most God-awful smelling fish EVER at their desk (it actually turned my stomach – thought I would puke)
The co-worker whose wife calls him every 5 minutes – every single day - to LOUDLY discuss the dirty details of their VERY ugly divorce (this was a while ago – but went on for MONTHS)
I am literally surrounded by these people – ALL AT ONCE. I know… I can wear headphones and listen to my IPod – but 8+ hours a day, every day?
YES, I’m very grateful to have a GREAT job and this is probably bothering me more than usual because I am on edge with all that is going on in my life – but REALLY????

And the two that want to stand around and BS for 30 minutes loud enough for EVERYONE to hear(no one cares, lower your voice)...
And my FAVORITE, the guy who will stand 1 foot in front of you and stare at your face while you are on the phone. Instead of stepping back a few feet and patiently waiting until you get off the call. UGH!!
That and using the restroom for personal calls. Ugh!
I have also experienced all of the above!! Burnt popcorn, loud conversations, and not only the one that gets in your space when you're on the phone... there's the one that when they walk up to your desk the first thing they stare at is your computer monitor!!! (guess that's better than them staring at my chest.. ) :)
The coworker who listens to every conversation you have, whether it is personal, business - then sits in her cubicle laughing 0r commenting! It's none of your business!!
The coworker who spends most of the day sighing loudly!
The coworker who listens to everything you say and then passes it along to every other employee you work with!
